A healthy discerning community is a powerhouse of spiritual vitality and growth. At its core, the ecclesia is a community ever wrestling to walk out God’s will. We can discover that as already revealed in scripture, and as he guides us day by day through the voice of His Spirit.
Building and maintaining a discerning community takes an intense commitment of time. It will cost you many of your presuppositions and force you onto a road of uncompromising holiness. You will lose independent control of your life and find yourself enmeshed with others who strive to walk in a way pleasing to the Father. You will find yourself ever at the ready to obey God into known and unknown places.
You will also find incredible confidence as you and your community walk in unity. You will see a release of power, signs and wonders and hearing the sweet voice of the Father. You will see things of the world grow dim beside the thrill of choosing to obey God even when it seems crazy.
