To be occupied with Christ is to abide in Christ.

Andrew Murray

Jesus poignantly told us, “apart from me, you can do nothing.” Abiding is the practice of attending to our relationship with Jesus in order that we remain connected. When connected with him, we find that we live in joy, we rest in dependence upon him, we accept his transformative pruning and we pray and receive wondrous things.

However, abiding is more about a lifelong journey than trying to arrive at a clear definition. Abiding is how we attend to relationship with an infinite God. Without question, this is the most dysfunctional aspect of most Christian lives. To mindfully abide is the greatest commandment and most indispensable practice, yet it is the most neglected and minimized practice among Christian individuals and organizations.

Thankfully, wise men and women have walked this road of abiding and developed excellent tools. Below are a few examples of tools we use, and coach others to use, in practicing the presence of God. We are glad if you can utilize these resources on your own, and we are likewise glad to walk alongside anyone that desires mentoring in these disciplines.
